Chandrababu Naidu held a key meeting with party leaders regarding the upcoming local body elections in Andhra Pradesh. He instructed the party machinery to begin preparations and work in coordination with the NDA alliance partners. Chandrababu noted that this will be the first local body election in which the alliance will contest together and stressed the need for effective coordination at the grassroots level.
The TDP chief also discussed the selection of candidates, stating that youth and women should be given priority. He reiterated the alliance government’s stand on providing 34% reservations to BCs in local elections and said more seats could be offered to BC candidates if necessary.
