Census 2027: 40 Questions to Be Asked in Door-to-Door Survey

The Registrar General of India, under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, has notified the questionnaire for the door-to-door survey to be conducted as part of Census 2027. The survey will consist of 40 questions covering various details related to households and their members.

The questionnaire will seek information such as Aadhaar and mobile numbers of family members, bank account details, commuting arrangements to workplaces, religion and caste, among other particulars. The collected information will be recorded systematically to prepare official population and household statistics. The Government of India issued the related Gazette notification on Friday.
