A controversy erupted after reports emerged claiming that the CBSE revaluation portal had been hacked by a 19-year-old individual, causing panic among students amid ongoing concerns about exam-related issues in the country. The situation gained attention as claims surfaced that the CBSE on-screen marking system was compromised, raising questions about data security and system reliability. Earlier, students had already been facing technical issues such as portal crashes and blurred answer sheets, adding to their frustration.
However, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) clarified that the so-called hack targeted only a dummy or testing portal and not the actual revaluation system. The board stated that the data shared online belonged to a sample or test environment and contained no official information. CBSE further assured that the real evaluation system remains secure and unaffected, while also warning that necessary action would be taken regarding the misleading claims.
