The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has revealed crucial details before the court in the sensational NEET UG paper leak case. According to the agency, Shivraj Raghunath Motegaonkar, who runs a coaching centre in Latur, Maharashtra, allegedly paid ₹5 lakh to P.V. Kulkarni, a member of the paper setting committee, to obtain Chemistry questions before the examination.
The CBI informed the court that Motegaonkar's son attended coaching classes conducted by Kulkarni, where the leaked questions were allegedly shared. Investigators found 36 photographs related to the leaked questions on Motegaonkar's phone. Of these, 32 images contained 132 Chemistry questions, and 111 of them matched the questions in the NEET UG master question paper prepared by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Citing these findings, the CBI urged the court to reject the bail pleas of the accused.
