The Union Cabinet has approved the Paper Leak Law Amendment Bill, aiming to strengthen action against examination paper leaks across the country. The proposed amendments are intended to improve the integrity of competitive examinations and ensure strict punishment for those involved in question paper leaks.
According to the proposed law, individuals found guilty of paper leak offences could face up to 10 years of imprisonment and a fine of up to ₹10 crore. The Centre said the stricter provisions are intended to deter organised exam fraud and protect the interests of students.
