Tension escalated in Bahadurguda near Shamshabad as farmers opposed the proposed acquisition of agricultural lands for the Bullet Train project. HYDRAA officials reached the village while the farmers' protest entered its fifth consecutive day. The protesters maintained that they would not hand over their lands until the government provides clear assurances regarding compensation, rehabilitation, and other related issues.
The farmers demanded that the government hold discussions and address their concerns before initiating the land acquisition process. Meanwhile, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) announced its support for the agitating farmers, adding a political dimension to the ongoing dispute over the proposed project.
