BTech Student Murdered Over Love Dispute

Police investigation revealed that the murder of BTech student Bommana Yavan alias Akhil in Chilakalaguda was a pre planned crime linked to a love affair. According to police, relatives of the girl had been plotting the attack for nearly a week. On Thursday night, while Yavan was sitting with friends in Medibavi, six youths arrived on bikes, attacked him with knives, and fled the scene. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors confirmed his death. The accused later posted a message on social media claiming responsibility for the murder, which intensified the police investigation.

Police identified the girl’s brother Paramesh and relative Sai as the main accused in the case. An audio conversation that surfaced online reportedly revealed threats made against the couple if they refused to file a police complaint. Officials also stated that Sai has a criminal background with previous assault cases registered against him. Family members and friends of Yavan attempted to protest near the girl’s house, leading to tension in the area. Police confirmed that four accused have been detained and efforts are underway to arrest the remaining suspects.
