K. Chandrashekar Rao chaired a crucial meeting of BRS party general secretaries on Tuesday, where several key decisions were taken regarding the party’s future organizational activities. The meeting, which lasted nearly six hours, focused mainly on introducing a digital membership registration system in line with the Election Commission of India’s ongoing digital processes, including the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and voter list corrections. The party leadership felt that digitizing the membership process would strengthen the organization and prepare it for future electoral activities.
The BRS leadership decided to appoint membership coordinators from the state committee for every constituency. Separate membership coordination committees will also be formed at mandal and municipal levels within the next few days to ensure smooth implementation of the enrollment drive. The party further resolved to conduct training programs for around 71,310 workers across 35,655 polling booths in Telangana, with two activists assigned per booth. Training sessions on the digital membership system will be organized under the supervision of party general secretaries.
