BRS Assembly Deputy Leader Harish Rao said that the party has personal respect for Speaker Gaddam Prasad and respects the position of the Speaker. He clarified that BRS leader Tatha Madhu had stated that his remarks were not directed at the Speaker. Harish Rao said that if the remarks had caused any hurt or misunderstanding, Tatha Madhu had already expressed his regret in writing, and the BRS was also expressing its regret over the matter.
Harish Rao also questioned the Congress government over its approach toward Dalits and tribal communities. He alleged that despite the government completing nearly three years in office, there was no clear commitment toward SC and ST welfare. He questioned why the 125-foot Dr. B.R. Ambedkar statue had not been garlanded and asked what had happened to the SC-ST Declaration promised by the government.
