BRS MLAs Complain to Governor

A delegation of BRS MLAs led by working president K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) met the Governor and submitted a complaint over recent political developments in Telangana. KTR said the delegation met the Governor on the instructions of party president K. Chandrashekar Rao. The delegation raised issues concerning the Congress government’s unfulfilled promises, problems faced by farmers, unemployed youth and students, and the agitation by polytechnic students. The BRS leaders also briefed the Governor about incidents involving their members during the Assembly session.

KTR said the delegation submitted evidence regarding the alleged incidents involving BRS MLAs, including women legislators, and raised concerns over the conduct of the police and the suspension of party members from the Assembly. The BRS leaders also brought up the incident at KCR’s residence and alleged that constitutional norms and court directions were not being respected. KTR said the Governor assured them that the issues raised, including matters related to the Assembly and incidents outside it, would be looked into. He added that the party would approach the National Commission for Women if it failed to get justice in Telangana.
