BJP Leaders Storm Secretariat Over Fee Reimbursement Dues.. Leaders Arrested

BJP and BJYM leaders staged a protest outside the Secretariat demanding that the Telangana government clear the pending fee reimbursement dues. As part of the agitation, several party leaders attempted to enter the Secretariat through the main gate. Police personnel stopped them, resulting in a scuffle between the protesters and police.

Police subsequently detained and arrested several BJP leaders, including state BJP president Ramchander, BJLP leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy and MP D.K. Aruna. The protest follows a statewide campaign by BJYM, during which students were encouraged to write letters demanding the release of fee reimbursement funds. The BJP leaders recently brought around eight lakh such letters to the Secretariat and dumped them near the main gate as part of their protest. Secretariat staff later removed the letters and cleaned the area using brooms.
