Big House, Wealth Don’t Define Success - Pemmasani

Union Minister Pemmasani Chandrasekhar said true success is not measured by owning a big house, having money or gaining recognition, but by earning respect in society. He attended the 17th convocation of GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences in Visakhapatnam as the chief guest and presented medical degrees and medals to around 4,000 students. He urged the graduates to serve society with dedication and become exemplary doctors.

Speaking at the event, Pemmasani said money can provide comfort but cannot guarantee respect. He stressed that the respect a person earns through their work is the real measure of success. He also advised students to maintain strong character and be genuine rather than merely trying to appear perfect before others. During the ceremony, an honorary doctorate was conferred on Dr. Ramaswamy Balasubramanyam. Atluri Sai Prasiddha received the Overall Gold Medal in the graduation course, while Dr. Jana received the Gold Medal for outstanding research.
