Bhogapuram International Airport Gets Immigration Check Post Status

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has granted a major recognition to Bhogapuram International Airport by bringing it under the provisions of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025. The Centre issued an official Gazette notification declaring the airport an Immigration Check Post (ICP), a significant step towards enabling international passenger movement through the airport.

With this notification, Bhogapuram has become the 39th Category-1 airport in the country. The recognition is expected to facilitate international flight operations and strengthen Andhra Pradesh's aviation infrastructure. The notification was issued under the authority of Additional Secretary Nitesh Kumar Vyas of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
