Bengal Youth Arrested in Bengaluru...Probe Into Suspected Terror Links

Bengaluru police have detained a 25-year-old man from West Bengal over alleged suspicious activities. The accused, identified as Asaful Mallik from North 24 Parganas district, was working as a security guard at a company in the Jigani industrial area. Police are investigating suspected links between him and the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

According to police, Mallik developed contact with an Afghanistan-based individual through social media and allegedly communicated with people linked to the TTP. Investigators suspect that discussions about possible attacks in India and Pakistan took place. Police also suspect that Mallik was planning to travel to Afghanistan to join the extremist organisation. The investigation into the alleged links is ongoing.
