Belgian PM Bart De Wever Praises PM Modi, Criticises Trump’s Tariff Approach

Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever said that it was an honour to visit India. He said he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Friday and described the meeting as a privilege. He also recalled that his earlier visit to India had been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

De Wever said that while several world leaders tend to speak in a threatening manner, Prime Minister Modi’s words provide both inspiration and guidance. He said Modi’s remarks make people want to follow his approach.On the occasion, Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever also criticised US President Donald Trump’s approach to tariffs.
