Union Minister Bandi Sanjay made strong remarks on the recent protests over examination paper leaks, alleging that anti-social elements had infiltrated the student movement. He claimed that police personnel and journalists were attacked during the demonstrations, leaving 118 police officers injured. He also alleged that there was a conspiracy to target Parliament and said the police used force only against those involved in violence.
Bandi Sanjay accused opposition parties of politicising the issue and claimed that misinformation was being spread from Pakistan. He said paper leaks had occurred 72 times during the UPA government and questioned why the then leadership had not resigned. He also stated that NEET examinations would be conducted online in the future, similar to JEE, and highlighted the increase in MBBS seats and medical colleges since 2014.
