

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has invited Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to attend the Invest Telangana Global Summit-2026, scheduled to be held at Bharat Future City from December 7 to 9. During their meeting in New Delhi, the Chief Minister requested Rajnath Singh to inaugurate the Defence Expo-2026 being organised as part of the summit. Discussions focused on hosting aerospace, defence and space sector conferences, an air show, industrial exhibitions and live demonstrations of advanced land defence systems. Revanth Reddy also sought the Defence Ministry's support for the participation of the Indian Air Force, the Suryakiran and Sarang aerobatic teams, defence public sector undertakings and DRDO laboratories.
The Chief Minister also informed the Defence Minister that the Telangana government had already acquired 750 acres of land for the Adilabad airport and was prepared to acquire another 750 acres to meet Defence Ministry requirements. He further said that TGIIC had agreed to allocate 416.18 acres in Devarakadra, Mahabubnagar district, for a prestigious DRDL project. The land is proposed to be allotted for 33 years at a nominal lease rent of just Rs 1 per year, with provisions for extending the lease twice if required.
