Ashutosh Ranka Visits Assam to Meet SIR-Affected Voters

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) co-convener Ashutosh Ranka is visiting Assam to meet people who, according to him, have been affected by the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Speaking to the media in Guwahati on Saturday, Ranka alleged that many people in Assam had lost their voting rights because of the SIR process. He said he would meet those affected and visit government schools on Sunday to assess their condition. Ranka added that CJP volunteers were making arrangements for the visits and that he would meet them after completing the school inspections.

Ranka also claimed that support for the CJP was growing in Assam and other northeastern states. He said Assam had shown strong support for the party’s recent protest programmes in Delhi and that the organisation was expanding rapidly across the region. Ranka said CJP would soon announce state units in Assam and other northeastern states. He stated that improving India, bringing greater accountability and reforming the education system were among the party’s key objectives.
