

Hyderabad is set to witness the grand celebrations of the Ashada Bonalu festival from July 16 to August 13. The Telangana Government has sanctioned ₹20 crore to ensure the smooth conduct of the annual religious festival. The festivities will commence on July 16 with the offering of the first Bonam to Goddess Mahankali at the historic Golconda Fort, marking the beginning of one of Telangana's most significant cultural and spiritual celebrations.
The festival schedule includes the Bonalu inauguration at Secunderabad on July 19, the Balkampet Yellamma Kalyanam on July 26, Lashkar Bonalu on August 2, and the Old City Bonalu on August 9. The traditional Rangam (prophecy) ceremony will be held on August 10. Authorities are making elaborate arrangements to ensure the celebrations are conducted safely and smoothly as thousands of devotees are expected to participate.
