Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging the Centre to reconsider the nationwide implementation of E20 petrol. In his letter, Kejriwal requested that motorists be allowed to choose between regular petrol and E20 petrol instead of limiting them to a single fuel option. He said such flexibility would help consumers make informed decisions based on their vehicle compatibility and usage.
Kejriwal also appealed to the Centre to reduce the price of E20 petrol, arguing that its use results in lower fuel efficiency and reduced vehicle mileage. He stated that the concerns of consumers should be addressed before expanding the use of E20 fuel across the country and called for a balanced policy that safeguards the interests of vehicle owners.
