APSRTC employees have begun a statewide signature campaign to highlight several long-pending demands concerning the public transport system. One of their primary demands is that electric buses should continue to remain under APSRTC management instead of being handed over to private operators. They have also requested the government to strengthen the fleet by introducing additional buses to meet growing passenger demand.
The employees are also urging the State Government to fill nearly 15,000 vacant posts in APSRTC to improve operational efficiency and passenger services. The signatures collected during the campaign will be submitted to the Chief Minister through District Collectors on July 27, seeking early action on their demands.
