APSRTC Bus Overturns in Annamayya District.. Tyre Puncture Causes Accident!

An APSRTC non-stop bus from the Madanapalle depot met with an accident while travelling towards Tirupati on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred on the Madanapalle-Tirupati highway near Vithalam in Valmikipuram mandal of Annamayya district. According to the available information, a tyre of the bus suddenly burst, causing the driver to lose control. The bus then veered off the road, entered a nearby culvert and overturned.

Several passengers were reportedly injured in the accident, with around 20 people sustaining serious injuries. Following the incident, police and local residents reached the spot and launched rescue operations. The injured passengers were initially shifted to the Valmikipuram government hospital. Those requiring further treatment were later moved to the Madanapalle Government District Hospital. Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
