AP’s AI-Based GST System Gets National Recognition

Andhra Pradesh’s AI-based approach to GST administration has received recognition at the national level. The Centre reportedly appreciated the state’s use of artificial intelligence to improve transparency and accountability in tax administration during the 57th GST Council meeting. The state’s efforts to use AI for more efficient GST management were highlighted during the meeting.

The Centre is also said to have suggested that other states adopt the Andhra Pradesh GST model. Against this backdrop, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh are reportedly studying the state’s GST framework. The AI-driven approach is aimed at enhancing transparency in tax administration, curbing irregularities and improving tax collection through technology-based monitoring and analysis.
