Applications Open for Indiramma Housing Scheme

In a major relief for the common people living in Greater Hyderabad, the Telangana government has announced the extension of the Indiramma Housing Scheme to the city. Previously limited to rural areas, the scheme will now provide houses to eligible beneficiaries across 26 constituencies in Hyderabad. In the first phase, 500 houses will be allotted per constituency, while construction of 7,680 houses has already begun in 16 segments. The government aims to construct a total of one lakh houses during the current financial year.

Eligible applicants can apply through MeeSeva centers, the official website, or via WhatsApp at 80969 58096 before the deadline of August 10. Applicants must pay a non-refundable fee of ₹100 and a refundable token advance of ₹10,000. Eligibility criteria include residing in the GHMC limits for at least 10 years, not owning a house, and having an annual family income below ₹6 lakh. The government will provide a subsidy of ₹5 lakh, while beneficiaries must pay ₹6 lakh in installments. The allotted flats cannot be sold.
