Andhra Pradesh could face another spell of adverse weather as a low-pressure system is expected to develop over the Bay of Bengal on Saturday, October 24. According to the preliminary assessment cited in the report, the system may strengthen into a depression by October 25 and could intensify further into a cyclone by October 27. Depending on its movement and intensity, weather experts believe it may cross the coast between North Andhra Pradesh and Odisha around October 28. However, the system’s eventual track and landfall location will depend on how it develops over the coming days.
The system could bring heavy to extremely heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds to parts of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh from October 27. With rough sea conditions expected, authorities have advised fishermen not to venture into the sea. Coastal residents and farmers have also been urged to remain alert, follow official weather bulletins and take necessary precautions. The forecast remains preliminary, so residents should rely on updated advisories from the India Meteorological Department and state disaster management authorities for the latest information.
