AP SEC Anil Chandra Punetha Responds to Social Media Campaign

Andhra Pradesh State Election Commissioner Anil Chandra Punetha has clarified that the reports circulating on social media and WhatsApp regarding the schedule of local body elections in the state are fake. He stated that the State Election Commission has not officially released any such election dates or schedule. The SEC also warned that using the name and logo of the Election Commission without permission and spreading such information is a punishable offence.

The SEC urged the public not to believe or share unverified information regarding the election schedule. Citizens have been advised to rely only on official announcements issued by the State Election Commission for election-related updates. Anil Chandra Punetha appealed to people not to forward or circulate the fake schedule on social media platforms.
