AP Police SI Hoists Tricolour on Russia’s Highest Mountain

AP Police Sub-Inspector V. Venkateswara Rao marked India’s 80th Independence Day with a remarkable feat in Russia. The Eluru Rural Police Station sub-inspector climbed a 5,642-metre-high mountain and hoisted a 100-metre-long Tricolour at the summit on Saturday morning. The achievement was carried out as a tribute to the spirit of the nation and the sacrifices of those who served the country.

After reaching the summit, Venkateswara Rao unfurled the national flag and sang the national anthem. His accomplishment has drawn appreciation as a unique way of commemorating Independence Day while representing the pride of India on an international platform.

Venkateswara Rao dedicated the achievement to police personnel who lost their lives while performing their duties.
