Andhra Pradesh Minister BC Janardhan Reddy met Maharashtra Ports Development Minister Nitesh Rane to discuss the development of ports in Andhra Pradesh and the state’s maritime policy. Officials also made presentations on proposed water metro and seaplane services. Rane appreciated the development of three greenfield ports in the state.
According to BC Janardhan Reddy, each greenfield port is being developed at an estimated cost of around ₹4,500 crore. He said the state government is working towards completing the greenfield port projects by 2027. The meeting focused on strengthening maritime infrastructure and exploring new opportunities in water-based transport.
