AP Liquor Shop Renewals: 88.7% of A4 Outlets Apply as Deadline Nears

The Andhra Pradesh government is set to conclude the renewal process for A4 liquor shops at midnight on September 23, with no further extension expected. Of the 3,650 A4 shops notified for renewal across the state, 3,236 have submitted applications so far. Among them, 2,873 shops have completed payment of the Renewal Retail Tax (RET), while 33 others have made partial payments. Overall, 2,906 shops have recorded either full or partial RET payments.

With these figures, around 88.7% of the notified liquor shops have applied for renewal, while RET payments have been completed for nearly 80% of the outlets. East Godavari district is leading in payment completion at 97.1%, followed by Alluri Sitharama Raju district at 94.7%, Sri Sathya Sai at 91.8%, Konaseema at 91.1% and Eluru at 91%. The renewal process is expected to conclude within the existing deadline.
