

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has directed the state government to submit a detailed status report on the efforts made to trace Gnaneswari, the minor girl who went missing in Kakinada district. During the hearing, the court sought comprehensive information regarding the investigation and the measures undertaken by the authorities to locate the child.
The bench also asked the government to clarify whether the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) formulated in accordance with Supreme Court guidelines for tracing missing children had been properly followed in this case. Emphasizing the seriousness of the matter, the High Court instructed officials to place all relevant details before the court. The matter has been adjourned, and the next hearing is scheduled for next month.
