AP Government Takes a Major Step Towards Digital Health

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to implement the ‘Sanjeevani Project’ across Andhra Pradesh from January 1 to strengthen and improve healthcare services. He said the full-scale implementation of the project, supported by digital health records, could bring significant transformation to medical services. The Chief Minister urged officials to make the initiative successful and develop Andhra Pradesh into a model that other states can follow in the healthcare sector. He also asked Tata MD, the project’s official partner, to contribute towards new innovations in healthcare.

Officials said a 90-day action plan has been prepared to expand the Sanjeevani Project across the state. The plan includes a baseline study, creation of digital infrastructure, training and certification, and integration with national and state portals. Medical staff across all 28 districts will receive training as part of the implementation process. Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav, Health Department Secretary Veerapandian, Joint Secretary Ronanki Gopalakrishna and representatives of Tata MD attended the review meeting.
