AP Fire Department Gets a Major Boost with Modern Firefighting Vehicles

The Andhra Pradesh Fire Services Department is set to receive a major boost with the introduction of 58 modern firefighting vehicles at a cost of Rs.40 crore. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will launch 25 advanced firefighting vehicles, 20 water bowsers and 13 quick-response multipurpose firefighting vehicles as part of efforts to strengthen the state’s emergency response infrastructure.

The 25 advanced firefighting vehicles will be deployed to respond to emergencies in rural and forest areas. The 20 water bowsers will ensure a continuous supply of water during major fire accidents, while the 13 quick-response multipurpose vehicles are designed to reach narrow and congested areas quickly. In the first phase, the government had already made 65 firefighting vehicles available at a cost of Rs.33 crore.
