

The Andhra Pradesh Counter-Intelligence Cell has reportedly busted a suspected espionage network allegedly linked to Pakistan. Under a major operation named “Firewall-2026”, authorities conducted coordinated searches across 10 states and Union Territories. The operation focused on a suspected network operating from Visakhapatnam, with 18 individuals, including 13 naval personnel, reportedly under surveillance. Two people have been arrested as part of the investigation.
According to the information released, the investigation uncovered alleged secret links between naval personnel and Pakistan-based intelligence operatives. The network is suspected of using encrypted software to transmit sensitive information, including details related to movements, to a hostile foreign country. The AP Counter-Intelligence Cell reportedly deployed 12 special teams for the operation, marking a major breakthrough in its efforts to uncover the alleged espionage network.
