

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will visit Delhi on Wednesday. A state Cabinet meeting will be held under his chairmanship in the morning, following which he will leave for the national capital. He will stay in Delhi overnight and meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday. He is also scheduled to meet Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil and other Union ministers to discuss key issues concerning Andhra Pradesh.
During the meetings, Chandrababu is expected to seek approval for the Polavaram–Nallamala Sagar linkage project and request the release of Rs. 42,000 crore for the second phase of the Polavaram project. He is also likely to seek Rs. 2,300 crore for the construction of an iconic bridge over the Polavaram spillway. The Chief Minister is scheduled to return to Amaravati on Thursday night after concluding his Delhi engagements.
