ISRO has successfully completed a crucial test of the main parachute system designed for India's maiden human spaceflight mission, Gaganyaan. During the trial, a payload was safely recovered after being dropped from an altitude of 2.5 kilometres, validating the performance and reliability of the parachute system.
The successful demonstration marks another major milestone for the Gaganyaan G1 mission and reinforces ISRO's preparations for sending Indian astronauts into space. The test further strengthens the mission's safety framework and highlights India's steady progress toward achieving its first indigenous human spaceflight.
