Another Depression Forms in the Bay of Bengal...Rain Alert for Andhra Pradesh

A fresh weather system has developed over the Bay of Bengal region near Myanmar and the Andaman Sea, according to the India Meteorological Department. The system is expected to move north-northwestwards towards the northeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh, with further intensification possible. The latest IMD outlook indicates strong surface winds and thunderstorm activity over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema in the coming days.

Under its influence, several parts of Andhra Pradesh are likely to experience rain and thunderstorms. The IMD has issued warnings for strong surface winds and thunderstorm or lightning activity over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema through September 30. The weather system comes shortly after a deep depression crossed the North Andhra Pradesh and adjoining South Odisha coast near Kalingapatnam on September 24.
