Anil Menon Reaches ISS Successfully

Indian origin astronaut Anil Menon, along with two Russian cosmonauts, successfully arrived at the International Space Station (ISS) aboard Russia's Soyuz MS 29 spacecraft. The rocket lifted off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 8:17 PM IST on Tuesday, while the ISS was passing overhead.

The Soyuz spacecraft entered its initial orbit within eight minutes of launch and completed a three-hour journey before docking with the ISS at 11:52 PM IST. At around 2:00 AM IST on Wednesday, Anil Menon and the two Russian crew members entered the space station to begin their mission.
