Andhra Pradesh Tourism, Culture and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh announced that the state is moving towards becoming India’s first AI-powered tourism state. The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority (APTA) signed a three-year strategic agreement with travel technology company Explurger to implement the NiVU AI (Neural Intelligence Vernacular Unified Model) platform across major tourist destinations.
Under the initiative, multilingual AI assistance will be introduced at more than 100 tourist and pilgrimage sites across the state. The first phase will cover 30 major locations, with complete implementation planned over the next three years. The service will be provided free of cost without requiring visitors to download any application. The AI platform will also provide real-time analytics to help APTA understand visitor preferences and improve future tourism planning.
