Andhra Pradesh Proposes Three New Police Commissionerates

The Andhra Pradesh government has initiated the process of upgrading the police districts of Tirupati, Guntur, and Rajamahendravaram into full-fledged Police Commissionerates. As part of the proposal, Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta has directed the Superintendents of Police of the three districts to prepare and submit comprehensive reports and detailed proposals.

The proposed move is aimed at strengthening policing in rapidly growing urban areas and ensuring more effective law enforcement. Once approved, the Commissionerate system is expected to enhance administrative efficiency, improve public safety, and streamline policing in the three major cities.
