Andhra Pradesh is set to take another major step towards becoming a hub for technology and innovation with the Pan-IIT Andhra Pradesh Summit 2026 in Vijayawada on Saturday. Organised by Pan-IIT Alumni India, the summit will focus on strengthening the state’s position in artificial intelligence, quantum technology, deep tech, startups and digital innovation while attracting investments. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Minister for Education, IT and Electronics Nara Lokesh are scheduled to attend the event as chief guests.
The summit will be held at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Kala Vedika under the theme “Andhra’s Resilient DeepTech Decade: Swarna Andhra to Viksit Bharat 2047”. Discussions and round-table sessions will cover artificial intelligence, deep tech, quantum computing and innovation. IIT alumni, entrepreneurs, technology experts, policymakers, investors and innovators from various fields are expected to participate in panel discussions and interactive sessions. Pan-IIT Alumni India has built a global network of around five lakh IIT alumni, including professionals and entrepreneurs working in areas such as quantum computing, healthcare, agri-tech, aerospace and defence.
Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh held a dinner interaction with IIT directors, industry CEOs, startup founders, policymakers and investors associated with the Pan-IIT alumni network at a private hotel in Vijayawada on Friday night. Discussions focused on translating innovative ideas into actionable initiatives in the state. In another key development, Qubit has developed four more “Q-Shiva” quantum hardware testing lab computers using indigenous technology. The Chief Minister is scheduled to unveil them at the summit on Saturday. Andhra University has secured one of the testing labs through the bidding process.
