The Andhra Pradesh government has intensified preparations for the upcoming local body elections, which are expected to begin in September. According to the proposed schedule, municipal elections will be conducted first, followed by Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTC) and Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC) elections. The government is then expected to hold Gram Panchayat elections in the final phase.
As part of the party's grassroots outreach, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLAs and other public representatives to undertake a 45-day door-to-door campaign in their respective constituencies beginning on July 27. The initiative is aimed at strengthening public engagement ahead of the anticipated local body elections.
