Andhra Pradesh is witnessing intense summer conditions with authorities warning of record-high temperatures across several districts. Weather officials stated that temperatures are likely to touch 45°C to 46°C in many parts of the state on Thursday. Severe heatwave conditions are expected in 119 mandals, while another 155 mandals may experience moderate heatwave impact. Officials have urged people to remain cautious as the rising temperatures could pose serious health risks, especially to children, elderly citizens and outdoor workers.
Authorities advised residents to avoid unnecessary travel during peak afternoon hours and stay hydrated by consuming sufficient water and fluids. People have also been asked to wear light clothing and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. The government machinery has been put on alert to handle heat-related emergencies, while health officials are monitoring conditions closely amid the continuing rise in temperatures across Andhra Pradesh.
