Anant Ambani, the younger son of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, has reportedly donated 25 electric ‘Dharma Rath’ buses worth ₹27.5 crore to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) to support pilgrim transportation. Of the 25 buses announced, the first 15 have reportedly reached Tirumala, while the remaining vehicles are expected to arrive soon. The initiative aims to provide convenient transport for devotees visiting the hill shrine.
According to the information provided, Reliance will also bear the salaries and allowances of 50 drivers required to operate the buses and establish dedicated charging stations in Tirumala. In addition, Anant Ambani has reportedly assured support for modernising the TTD Gaushala along the lines of the Vantara animal welfare project in Gujarat. The proposed measures are expected to support pilgrim services and improve facilities for the care of cattle at the temple’s gaushala.
