Amid Ukraine War.. Russia Lures Former US Soldiers!

As the Russia-Ukraine war continues, new claims have emerged over the recruitment of foreign nationals into the Russian military. According to an international media report citing Ukrainian intelligence sources, agents linked to Russia have allegedly been using social media platforms to encourage American citizens to join Russian forces. The report said at least 18 US nationals had been recruited, with promises of signing bonuses of up to $26,000 and monthly salaries of around $2,000. Some of those recruited were reportedly former military personnel.

The agents are allegedly targeting economically vulnerable people and those with anti-US views through platforms such as TikTok and Facebook, the report said. Ukrainian intelligence sources claimed that some recruits were sent to frontline positions and several reportedly died soon after joining Russian forces. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has alleged that North Korea is preparing to send another 10,000 soldiers to support Russia in the war. Ukrainian officials have also said they have identified around 29,000 people from 135 countries fighting alongside Russian forces.
