

Labour Minister Gaddam Vivek Venkataswamy praised the students of the Government ITI and Advanced Technology Centre (ATC) in Manuguru, Bhadradri Kothagudem district, for designing battery-powered vehicles. Attending a felicitation programme in Manuguru on Tuesday, the minister congratulated students Adapa Spoorthi and Pulipati Parthasarathi and inaugurated the vehicles developed by them. He appreciated the students for creating innovative vehicles at a low cost and said their efforts demonstrated the potential of technical education and practical innovation.
The minister said ATCs were established across Telangana with the support of Tata to provide students with employment opportunities closer to their hometowns. He said efforts would be made to conduct a statewide competition and provide awards as well as government jobs to students who demonstrate outstanding talent. He stated that one lakh jobs had been provided under the Congress government so far and another one lakh jobs would be announced soon. Later, appointment letters were handed over to 50 trainees who completed their training at the ATC and secured jobs in various organizations.
