The annual Amarnath Yatra is continuing under tight security arrangements, with thousands of devotees participating in the sacred pilgrimage. The fourth batch of pilgrims departed in a convoy of 291 vehicles, as chants of Lord Shiva echoed across the Himalayan region. Authorities have strengthened security measures to ensure the safe movement of devotees.
On the first day of the pilgrimage, 32,313 devotees had darshan of the naturally formed ice Shivling at the Amarnath cave shrine. ITBP Director General Shatrujit reviewed the security arrangements and directed officials to maintain strict vigilance throughout the yatra to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage.
