Amarnath Yatra Begins

The annual Amarnath Yatra has officially commenced, with pilgrims beginning their trek to the sacred cave shrine from today. Thousands of devotees are travelling via the Baltal and Pahalgam routes under extensive security arrangements to seek the darshan of the naturally formed ice Shivling.

Officials said that nearly 400,000 devotees have registered for this year's pilgrimage. The 57-day yatra is expected to witness devotees from across the country. Authorities have made comprehensive security, medical, and logistical arrangements to ensure a safe and smooth pilgrimage.
