Prithvi Shaw's fiancée, Akriti Agarwal, has firmly denied rumours suggesting that the couple had ended their relationship. Speculation surfaced after Akriti shared an emotional Instagram Story mentioning betrayal without naming anyone. The post quickly led to reports linking it to Prithvi Shaw and claims that the couple had called off their engagement. However, Akriti clarified that the assumptions were completely unfounded and stated that she had never mentioned Shaw's name or confirmed any separation.

In a detailed clarification on social media, Akriti said she and Prithvi Shaw are happy together and that their relationship remains strong. She expressed disappointment over how quickly people associated her post with Shaw, adding that such speculation unfairly damaged his reputation. According to her, the earlier Instagram Story was intended only for her close friends and was misinterpreted after being viewed more widely. The couple got engaged in March 2026. Meanwhile, Shaw, who was picked by the Delhi Capitals ahead of the 2026 IPL season, did not feature in a single match during the tournament.
