Ailamma’s Fighting Spirit an Inspiration for Future Generations

Telangana Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy said the fighting spirit of Chakali Ailamma, a prominent figure in the Telangana Armed Peasant Struggle, would continue to inspire future generations. On the occasion of her birth anniversary, Gutha Sukhender Reddy and Legislative Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar paid floral tributes to Ailamma’s portrait at the Assembly Central Hall on Saturday. They recalled her struggle and contribution to the peasant movement.

Government Whip Addanki Dayakar, MLAs Raj Thakur, Balu Naik, Naveen Yadav, Murali Naik, Kova Laxmi and Prabhakar, along with MLCs Shankar Naik and L. Ramana, also paid tributes. Legislative Council Secretary Narasimha Charyulu, Legislative Assembly Secretary Tirupati and other officials were present at the programme.
