A video of a vegetable vendor in Bengaluru wearing a special AI data collection device while selling vegetables has gone viral on social media. The device, equipped with a camera and microphone, is reportedly being used to collect real world data such as surrounding sounds, public movement, and environmental conditions. Reports suggest that the collected data may be used for training artificial intelligence models.
According to viral discussions online, the vendor is reportedly earning around Rs.350 per hour for this work. Social media users claim that if he works nearly 10 hours a day, he could potentially earn more than Rs.1 lakh per month. While some people are praising it as a new income opportunity created by technology, others are raising concerns regarding privacy and public safety.
